Biomedical Research at Kennesaw State University

Many KSU researchers are externally funded and highly productive. We use instrumentation and techniques that are rare or non-existent at non-doctoral institutions. For example, KSU is the only non-doctoral institution in the country to have two optical biosensing platforms (SPR and biolayer interferometry). We have a host of cutting-edge equipment, such as:

Faculty are active in tissue culture, use of animal models and other methods requiring intensive training. Participants gain skills via one-on-one training by mentors in cutting-edge techniques, practices and disciplines that make our graduates more competitive for admission to and more likely to succeed in doctoral programs.
